Cardiac Athletes- The website for heart patients returning to exercise

Are you a heart patient who wants to return to exercise?

If your cardiac recovery has been so good that your cardiologist has agreed to let you return to your favourite sport " so long as you don't over do it ! ", then Cardiac Athletes, launched in April 2002, is for you.

The site offers information, advice and guidelines on safe and effective exercise for heart patients, ideally who have completed hospital or community based cardiac rehabilitation programmes.

We are a truly global support group.  The Cardiac Athletes Forum is free where you can meet other like-minded people with similar heart problems to your own - and you don’t have to be an "elite" athlete to join. You may be interested in taking a more active role in your recovery or just staying fit and healthy as part of your own personal secondary prevention. JOIN HERE

Within the Forum you will be able to follow others blogs as they take part in various sports and activities. Some members have even been given medical clearance to take part in competitive events and have raised money for various charities. If this is something you are intersted in there are even Cardaic Tools to assist you in your training.

Feel free to look around the site.
